Troubleshooting

If you are having problems hearing our internet stream, please read the following tips.

On Windows

Our stream is a Windows Media audio stream which requires some version of Windows Media Player and a broadband internet connection.  If you are using Windows XP or Windows Vista, you already have Windows Media Player and should have no problem hearing our stream.

On Mac

If you are using a Mac, you need to install the Flip4Mac plug-in for Quicktime to use this or any other Windows Media content.  All Mac users should download and install this, as much of the streaming content on the internet is Windows Media based.  You can download this plug in for free.  If your browser is not configured to play streams within the browser, you can always go into Quicktime and go to File->Open URL... and enter http://www.niagara.edu/stream/wnia.asx in the box.

Firewall Settings

It's possible that you have an over-zealous firewall sitting between you and our stream.  If that's the case, open up port 9642.
